22 Jan 2009 - Chinese New Year Dinner 2009

I had our 'closing year' dinner with all my colleagues recently at the Overseas Restaurant, located in Sri Petaling recently. It was a good time and place to meet up, and all us had a great dinner.
I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a Chinese Meal (non-halal). I even tried their dim-sum later on, and it was good as well, though pricey.

Anyway, enjoy the pics below for those who are not within the Local Area Network.

Kean Choong and Hooi Pheng Wedding

It has been a busy year for me, trying to secure my job and earnings, while juggling time with my wife and parents (2 pairs now). I haven't gotten much time to update my blog for a long long while now.

Recently, a school friend got married and asked me to help with some photoshooting during his wedding back in Taiping. Since I have not taken up any photo assignments for a long long while, I decided to take it up and do it for free, old school friend ma....

So I dusted my set of camera, and started shooting pictures with the whole she-bang. Realized that the new camera, Canon 40D with the EF-S 17-55 F2.8IS is actually a very good combination, coupled with the 580EXII as well. Had a few good pics with it.

Anyway, to Kean Choong and Hooi Pheng, congratulations and wish both of you all the best for the future. Hope that my pictures are good enough to keep for your everlasting memory.

Enjoy the pictures.

27 Oct 2007 : Wedding dinner for Kam Hoe and Bee Eng

After a long hefty day smiling and rushing (not to mention games by Chee Muis), we gotten our good rest, before the day continues with a rush to the restaurant.

Our wedding dinner was held in Tai Thong Grand Restaurant, Wisma Selangor Dredging, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. It was a decent restaurant, food's not too bad, that is why we decided for it. We booked this restaurant 1 year in advance, and it was pure luck that we gotten it, since someone decided to cancel their booking.

Anyway, we would like to take this opportunity to thank those that have come to make this a very special occasion for us, and for the gifts/ang pows that you have given. We will cherish this moment, and would like to share the pictures with all of you all.

Chapter 3 : 27 Oct 2007 - When we head back to our new home

Continued from Chapter 2
We arrive back to our new home, after a short but long drive back, traffic at the Summit/Kesas interchange was terrible.

Anyway, we started out with the normal tea ceremony, mainly with my family and extended family who have came to celebrate this occasion with me. Some of the pictures are below; do be warned, it is not suitable for 56k Modem (what in the world you are doing with a 56K modem anyway?)

By the way, I need inputs, for the post in Chapter 2, would you prefer the pictures in a slideshow format (from Slide.com) or you'd prefer something like what I have in Chapter 1 and 3? Good thing about having the pictures in a slideshow format is that it saves space and it doesn't kill those who don't have broadband, but you can only view the pictures once. The format below extends your viewing page pretty long, especially when photos are abundent.

Comments please!

Chapter 2 : 27 Oct 2007 - At the Hotel, where all the activities begin

For Chapter 2 onwards, since there are tons of pictures, I have used Slide.com's slideshow to present the pictures to you guys. I hope you guys will have the patience for the slideshow to load ya.

The pictures in the slideshow below was taken on 27th Oct 2007, when my entourage arrived at the hotel to pick up my bride. It was a great time, where all the fun and laughter begins. My wife asked me to propose to her before she agrees to marry me, and also sing a song for her, although I do admit that we sang the song rather badly. Unfortunately, the chee muis didn't realize the cucumber actually made me throw up, thus I have asked one of my heng tais to swallow it.

Anyways, for those who came, me and my wife would like to thank you for your arrival, and also your laughter during that time. And for those who didn't, well, fret not.. the pictures are below.

Hope you enjoy them, and do post some comments.

My Wedding

By the pictures that I have posted below, you guys would have known that I got married recently. I haven't got the time to really post any pictures up, my apologies; time was mainly taken up by our work (no honeymoon) and trying to stabilize our marriage life. You can fill in the blanks if you want to.... :P

Anyway, I'll be posting the wedding day pictures here soon (real soon, like the next post), and it will come in a few chapters, as I can't fit all the pictures into one blog post. Those of you who came to our wedding, we thank you, and we do hope you liked the pictures taken.

The credit goes to Melvin Foo, our photographer, who did a wonderful job on our wedding pictures. He is my cousin's best friend, and have been a family friend for a very long while. We were very lucky to have him, as all our family members do not feel awkward with him around pointing his super Canon 5D to everyone. The pictures turned out great, and we truly recommend him if you plan to get a wedding photographer. And you know what? We actually liked his pictures more than the pictures we took from the studio!!

Take a look at his blog if you are interested in getting him as a photographer, for any sort of occasion. Some of our pictures are listed there too.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED....
